211 - WHO GETS THE LAST WORD?

For best results, please listen to this at 2300 on 31/12 of your chosen year. Ideally 2020.

Surprise! It's a podcast. Early. We thought you may want to listen to it at 11pm your time. You know, to count in the New Year? Can't imagine what it would be like to share the last hour of 2020 with Eli and Paul? Well now you can. Kind of. The Cheap Chaps say "F*** Off to 2020" with their final episode of the year. And yes. They may have been drinking. It won't become a thing! Promise.

Happy New Year from CheapShow x

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Scare!!

210 - THE CHARITY SHOP OF CHILLS

It's that time of year again to wrap up warm, hide yourself from the elements, grab some mulled wine and listen to a few spooky, wintry stories. This year, CheapShow presents 3 tales of terror to chill your spoff, each one more macabre than the last! When Paul & Eli investigate an unusual new charity shop, they are greeted by an undead creature of the night with a shop full of evil curios. He presents the cheap chaps with three items, each with a terrible tale of horror and pain... but is the last shock reserved for Paul & Eli? Who will escape the Christmas evil that is slowly enveloping them all?

The Yeti & The Music Box: When a struggling rap artist is sent an interesting music box, his newfound success comes with a cost!

Crunchy Centre: A small Victorian orphan boy decides to blow his hard earned pennies at a sweet shop with a hideous secret.

Jailhouse Shock: What would you do to evade the electric chair? For one despicable convict, making a deal involves reading the small print.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Scare!!

209 - THE 2ND ANNUAL OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! It's been an odd, difficult year and to celebrate getting through 2020, it's time for Paul & Eli to have their 2nd (OK, not completely annual) Office Christmas Party! After Eli ruined the first office party, Paul has taken it upon himself to arrange the venue himself. However, this super stylish, modern high tech home could be more trouble than its worth... Especially considering the home’s owner and the company Paul used to hire the venue! Apart from that, it's eat, drink and be merry as the Cheap Chaps dive into a Xmas Party on a budget. They tackle novelty snacks, cheap retro; alcoholic classics and all sorts of other Christmas food. Also, gifts! What did Paul & Eli get each other for Christmas, sourced from the finest charity shops in London? You can find out just HOW disappointing they are. As the drinks flow and the booze takes it evil toll, just how loud, vulgar and explosive will this episode be? Find out in a packed episode!

HO HO HO!

(Episode contains more bad language than usual. Be Warned!)

208 - THE MILKY ELEMENT

Paul's got the horn! Again. At least this week it's literal! Recorded at our secret 3rd location, CheapShow dives into two big old chunky segments. In Off Brand/Brand Off, Eli's reputation is on the line as he takes on a Kinder chocolate challenge. Will he taste the difference between a range of Kinder bars and their cheaper Aldi alternative? Paul presents another Gannon's Golden Games this week that features a board game a little bit more modern than most. Can Detective Silverman solve a murder? He'll need to scan the crime scene for evidence, talk to experts, interrogate suspects... and try not to get his penis sucked by Paul's vulgar cast of characters. That's CheapShow this week, then!

207 - THE ARBITERS OF FILTH

Eli's been a very naughty boy, and Paul is going to have to make him face his behavior straight on. It does not go well. Obviously. Meanwhile on the economy comedy podcast, we dive back into the Inbox to pull out a few listener correspondence, one of which is very very mucky indeed, so consider yourself warned! The big event this week is in the rarely recurring "Paul's Page Turners" segment. This week, we are reading from "How to Hold A Crocodile" which is packed with useful (and useless) information. Put it one way, things are about to get very, very silly...

206 - THE SLICK OF DELISH

After the shocking fallout of last week's episode, Paul & Eli are currently in negotiations for the return of Larry Inchman to the show. We hope you can forgive our error of judgement. To apologize, the cheap chaps have decided to offer you two overly long editions of “Eli's Country Urban Noodle Test Lab Kitchen” and “Gannon's Golden Games”. In one, they'll be testing a “Lost The Pot Noodle”; against a “Lucky Me” brand and in the other, they'll be playing a game based on a recent TV show NO ONE remembers! Along the way, we'll discuss the Tarrant/Edmonds rivalry, have a screaming row over the rules of a game and let you figure out just what the hell the title to this episode even means!

205 - THE RISE & FALL OF BILL DOUGHNUT

Just WHO is Bill Doughnut? A man of mystery, of tragedy and of music and in today's episode you are going to be introduced to him. You are very lucky people! Eli, however, flat our hates him and means to have his wicked way. It's a thrilling development. But not really. Elsewhere in the podcast, there is a random Cheap Eats segment where Paul & Eli throw into the ring a collection of inexpensive snacks from China and the Ukraine! It's a literal mixed bag, in terms of items and the cheap chaps' reaction to them. Finally, we have another bespoke Price of Shite that pits Paul & Eli against each other in a fight for who reigns “per-twing”! Along the way, Paul rants about Fairy Tales, Eli rants about guilty pleasures and they both rant about each other!

204 - ANTI-COMEDY

What is comedy exactly? It's not 100% clear if Paul and Eli know what comedy is at all, but this week, they attempt to look at what is often erroneously called "Anti-Comedy" thanks to another delicious vinyl record discovery! The cheap chaps take a deep dive into the world of alternative comedy, the work of Ted Chippington, psychobilly music and curious independent record labels in this week's Silverman's Platter. Paul has something special to show off this week too! Although it's tough to call it a "cheap" purchase (thanks packaging and postal costs), the Gannon's Golden Game segment gets a new addition when Paul reveals his electronic The Price is Right game. It's bloody lovely! Don't worry if you think we are all taking it too seriously this week, there is also Paul's "Grandad Discipline Stick" and Eli's "Knob People" to look forward to!

203 - JIZZY PIGS

If you want to know why this week's edition of the economy comedy podcast is called "Jizzy Pigs" you will (sadly) discover all too soon. Suffice it to say, it's not nice and it involves pigs. Beyond that nightmarish promise, it's business as usual in the House of Pickles! This episode comes complete with an edition of The Price of Shite, and in a nice change of pace, all the items are actually useful. There are also a LOT of "Ptwings"for the taking, but will Eli manage to grab them all? Also, Paul and Eli take a deeper than expected dive into the world of "Irn Bru" the famous Scottish soft drink that has quite the history! Somehow this segment involves a visit to both the Frothshop AND the Soda Jerk Store. Kinda.

202 - I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST EPISODE (MONO VERSION)

For our special Halloween episode for 2020, we finally reveal just exactly what happened after the massacre at the end of their live 200th episode Twitch event. With a blood soaked studio and a crazed fair weather co-host, Paul and Eli run out into the nearby forest to escape a grisly end. Will they survive the night? Who knows? It's a evening filled with violent murder, terrible cheap eats, blood curdling board games and a safe house containing quite a lot of Gannon's Ghostbusters tat. If Ash doesn't finish off Paul, it's very likely Eli will do the job for him...

Ash knows where they are hiding. He is watching them. Ready to strike!

This episode has been presented in stereo and mono editions - make sure you have chosen the right listening presentation for you!

201 - TABULA RASA

A new episode, a new beginning! After all the pomp and circumstance of Ep 200, it's good to go back to basics and start with a clean slate. The economy comedy podcast dives straight into some good old fashioned CheapShow segments. Eli races through a Sauce Report and a Noodle report before Paul reveals a freshly delivered and also very painful Tales from the Shop Floor. Off Brand/Brand Off returns to satisfy your sweet tooth and to wrap things up, the cheap chaps play a listener donated Price of Shite. Can Eli wrestle back any per-twings? Why is Paul not organized this week and what's with all the singing coming from Eli's mouth? Some mysteries are best left unsolved!

200 - THE LIVE ONE... ON TWITCH!

It's been over 5 years and close to 2 Million downloads, but we have finally reached episode 200... Somehow! To celebrate (and because we could not, sadly, do a proper live show) Paul and Eli decided to do an epic podcast recording, live on Twitch. Featuring most, but probably not all, of your favourite segments. The cheap chaps sing you a song, show you some sauce, take you on an audio adventure in your mind, play a VERY special edition of The Price of Shite with special guest Mr. Biffo and Ashens, give you yet more noodle pimping goodness and podcast annoyance Ash Frith definitely doesn't appear in this show. At All.

As it always goes, it ends in tragedy. But how? Well, why not find out and listen to episode 200 of CheapShow!

199 - STRONG SEXUAL CONTENT

Warning: Some parts of this podcast talk about sexual themes in a very blunt way... More so than usual. If you can stand the heat of the pod (and the absolutely filthy playing cards) then welcome to the 199th edition of the economy comedy podcast! This week, Paul is on a tight schedule, so it's another rough, uncut(ish) real time episode that somehow crams in a Price of Shite, a Silverman's Platter AND a Paul's Page Turners into 60 mins. You'll bear witness to a proper mucky Price of Shite, the rapping delights of Louis XVI and hear some real talk about SEX. Yes. Sex. The cheap chaps pick up a "Reader's Letters" book and let's just say the issues of the day go from the mundane to the gobsmacking!

OH - and they have to get ready for the LIVE 200th episode on Twitch? You gonna join us?

198 - A GOOD DAY TO WALK HARD

This one's been brewing for a while... This week, Paul and Eli dust off the second hand Blu-Ray player, grab a dirt cheap movie from a charity shop and give it a proper CheapShow evaluation. However, this film may be too much for the cheap chaps as it is one of Paul's (and soon to be Eli's) most hated films... "A Good Day to Die Hard", the painful 5th entry into the Die Hard franchise. Will it break them both? What will they do when they can't take any more? Is there a Plan B? You'll find out this week, just as soon as they both stop trying to invent disgusting rides at a CheapShow Theme Park first!

197 - TOUGH LUCK!

Another week, another box of crisps to wade through, and this week, they have been sent to us from Australia! Which is nice. What this ultimately means is that Eli will attempt an Australian accent for most of this taste test. It will definitely test Paul's patience, that's for sure. However, this delightful wander through the snack pastures of Down Under will be ruined by a Gannon's Golden Games, that is, quite frankly, a let down. How much of a let down? Well the most exciting thing that happens is when Paul nearly throws the whole game in to jeopardy before they can even begin! At least it gives them both a chance to play with their balls beforehand. It's another "common or garden" s***show!

196 - THE NAUGHTY BIRTHDAY BOY

Oh dear, Paul's been drinking again. This time his excuse is that it's his birthday and he is allowed. Eli is very unimpressed by the state of his podcast co-host, but he battles on regardless! This week, Eli tries to keep the show together and Paul behaves like a naughty boy. It's all rather desperate. However, there IS still economy comedy content. Eli dives into his Cheap Eats hamper to torture Paul with bite of lemony chocolate, fills in the gaps on last week's League of Snacks (Crisps) Update and stares in wonder at a Pot Noodle without the pot! Paul's in charge of the Vinyl Selection and it's a horrific mix of 80s sitcom novelty music and a 7 Inch piece of vinyl featuring the cast of Grange Hill singing about hosteling! It's all very odd. As Per.

195 - POMPADOUR

In a secret chamber, buried deep below the bowels of the podcast, lies a place that will force Paul & Eli to tackle their greatest snack challenge ever! From this moment on, the League of Snacks and Crisps will NEVER be the same again! Dare you resist the opportunity to meet "The Scribe" or even "The Toilet Peeper"? Regretfully, you have no choice.

Elsewhere in this week's episode, Eli is given (we think) a bespoke hot sauce and Paul returns to another one of his "Page Turners" segments. In this edition, the cheap chaps may have discovered a Radio DJ even more loathsome than Noel Edmonds. If that's even possible!

194 - EVERY SECOND COUNTS

It's time to relax on the high concept episodes and go back to what we do best... Shouting, screaming, laughing and hunting out the best in cheap high street titbits. This week, Paul and Eli dive back in the box of weird and wonderful vinyl to pull out a mad Moog album, a synth laden trip into space and a groovy sing-along with vintage kids show Play School! Meanwhile, Paul brings along a new Gannon's Golden Game. This week it's a time based game show on a popular Paul Daniels TV show. So, relax, unwind and listen to two men behave extremely badly!

193 - THE CHEAPSHOW AWARDS 2020: THE BRANDOFF CONNECTION

CheapShow Presents another EPIC episode of the Economy Comedy Podcast... And it's the one you've been waiting for! The magnificent "CheapShow Awards 2020", returning for a 2nd illustrious year! This year, the boys have gone all out and hired a special venue from a nefarious source, brought a certain cryptid rapper out of retirement and there are many special guests along the way.

Who will win "Best Insult", what was the year's best "Tales from the Dancefloor" and what did the Cheapshow audience vote as "Best Episode of the Year"?

Find out in this VERY special episode!

It's the podcast event of the year... Unless you are Grumpy Sessions. He wants to watch something very different on the TV instead.

With thanks to Sonny Liston Smith for his work on the song in this episode.
