263 - RENO: 911!: MIAMI

It’s time to take a trip back to the mid-noughties and one of those TV-show-movie-spin-offs that is full of big cameos, big laughs, and weirdly unknown beyond those that are aware of the original show, or the Quibi reboot from 2020. It’s the first in-person recording since March 2020, and Andrew has made Johnny a red velvet cake, they taste it on-air! Johnny rates the Venom Burger from a promo event, whilst Andrew demonstrates a pitch-perfect Kristen Stewart As Princess Diana impression.

FAST FRIDAYS - EPISODE 05 - FAST FIVE (WITH BRADLEY PORTER)

We welcome a new member of the family with filmmaker Bradley Porter, who kindly actually drives during a conversation on the epic Avengers-style Fast And Furious Family Team-Up movie, whilst discussing Netflix’s creative control problems and how many punches it takes for Vin Diesel to smash Dwayne Johnson through a wall.

This is when the franchise goes from Mission: Impossible to Mission: In-Freaking-Sanity

FAST FRIDAYS - EPISODE 0.0 - LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN

Almost a year ago we started a journey that did not go far, in fact the only released episode before the collapse of the world was a prologue to inform listeners of the journey. Like some Sisyphian podcasters, we’re pushing the boulder back up the hill this year and intend to cover all 9 Fast & Furious features released, once a week, in the build-up to F9: The Fast Saga, but this time there’s some new twists, and more understanding on the link between Dom’s Coronas and the horrendous nightmare year of pandemic that has taken so much from so many. COMEDY SHOW! Well, strap in, we’re doing this until Universal delay the film again.

218 - BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD DO AMERICA

We’re Judging December, and what better way to begin than with the misadventures of two 90s slacker Gen-X proxies and their semi-star-studded feature adventure? Johnny isn’t big on what little of the characters he has seen, but Andrew is insistent that Siskel and Ebert’s Two Thumbs Up written on the DVD cover carries more importance than his friend’s opinion.

205 - BLUEBIRD

Musical/Music Documentary Month gets off to a singing start, as Johnny picks a doc about the Nashville institution that features the likes of Faith Hill, Charles (Chip) Esten, Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks and Kacey Musgraves. Andrew gets a hard indoctrination into modern country performance, and Johnny fondly recalls his travels to the landmark in the pre-pandemic world.

Finally, maybe, a new podcast is spawned from this episode? Keep your ears out!
